The Green Lady
She's a soft shade of green
A warm, soft shade
Light
And delicate as a single grass blade
But she ain't tame
That thang
Can be a green hot flame
Or a queen
Royal green
Aquamarine
Sea green queen
There's hints of blue, too
Clear sky, cool breeze blue
When she daydreams
It comes through
And gold
Rich honey gold
Shimmers like fairy dust
You'll only see
If you gain her trust
Warm white
Shades of cream
Bright yellow sunbeams
And sultry silver
That sparkles as it gleams
But that there shade of green
Like a dragon scale
Or a peacock tail
That there shade of green
It is
The same shade
Of green
As all
Green things
In heaven
A warm, soft shade
Light
And delicate as a single grass blade
But she ain't tame
That thang
Can be a green hot flame
Or a queen
Royal green
Aquamarine
Sea green queen
There's hints of blue, too
Clear sky, cool breeze blue
When she daydreams
It comes through
And gold
Rich honey gold
Shimmers like fairy dust
You'll only see
If you gain her trust
Warm white
Shades of cream
Bright yellow sunbeams
And sultry silver
That sparkles as it gleams
But that there shade of green
Like a dragon scale
Or a peacock tail
That there shade of green
It is
The same shade
Of green
As all
Green things
In heaven

I love this poem- it is beautiful and has really original images. And believe me, its hard to write a poem to a lady that doesn't sound corny! This one is like fresh air.
